Concert Sound Systems runs the website concertsound.com. This page explains what information we collect when you visit our site or reach out to us, and what we do with it.

What We Collect

What you give us

When you fill out a contact form or request a quote, we collect whatever you provide:

• Name, email, and phone number
• Company name
• Event details — date, type, venue, guest count, services you need, budget range
• Anything else you write in the message field

What we pick up automatically

Our site collects some information behind the scenes:

• Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics (GA4) to see which pages people visit, how long they stay, what device and browser they're using, and roughly where they're located. Google handles this data under their own Privacy Policy.
• Your IP address: We log your IP when you submit a form. This helps us block spam and limit how often forms can be submitted from the same address.
• Session cookies: A small cookie keeps your session working properly (things like form security tokens). It goes away when you close your browser.

How We Use It

• We reply to your messages and quote requests
• We send you a confirmation email so you have a record of what you submitted
• We look at traffic data to see what's working on the site and what isn't
• We use IP data to keep spam and bots out

Who We Share It With

We don't sell or rent your information. Period. The only outside services that touch your data:

• Google Analytics: Gets anonymized usage data about site traffic. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
• SMTP2GO: Delivers the confirmation emails we send after you submit a form.

Cookies

We keep it simple. Our site uses two types of cookies:

• PHPSESSID: Session cookie that keeps forms working securely. Deleted when you close your browser.
• _ga / _ga_*: Google Analytics cookies that help us tell visitors apart. These stick around for up to 2 years.

You can block cookies in your browser settings, but heads up — our forms might not work correctly without session cookies.

How Long We Keep It

• Form submissions: We keep contact and quote data in our database so we can follow up and reference past conversations.
• Analytics: Google holds onto analytics data for about 14 months by default.
• Rate limiting logs: These get wiped automatically after 5 minutes.

How We Protect It

We use industry-standard security practices across the site:

• HTTPS encryption on every page
• Secure, HTTP-only session cookies
• CSRF tokens on all forms
• Input validation and sanitization
• Rate limiting on form submissions and login attempts

Your Rights

You can ask us to:

• Show you what personal information we have on file for you
• Correct or delete your information
• Stop tracking you via Google Analytics (use the opt-out add-on)

Kids

Our site isn't aimed at anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
